Getting Started with Hotel Planet

This page will guide you through getting started with Hotel Planet, helping you get up and running in no time!

Introduction

Hotel Planet API provides a set of inbound APIs that allow suppliers to push their Availability, Rates, and Inventory (ARI) data directly into the platform. By integrating with the Hotel Planet API, suppliers can ensure their hotel data is always up-to-date, enabling seamless distribution to various travel platforms and partners.

The API supports multiple rate models, including Daily and Length of Stay (LOS), allowing suppliers to push the corresponding rates based on their pricing structures.

To begin using the API, suppliers must obtain an API key and configure their system to send ARI data using the designated endpoints.

Obtaining API Credentials

To push data to Hotel Planet API, suppliers must first obtain an API key. Follow these steps to get started:

  • GET Hotel Planet account: Reach out to our support team to get credentials to your Hotel Planet account.
  • API Key Request: After registration, request an API key through the developer dashboard.
  • Authentication: Once issued, include the API key in the Authorization header of all API requests.

Key APIs for Integration

All the listed APIs are mandatory for suppliers to implement.

  • Hotels List (/push/hotels) – This API allows suppliers to push the list of hotels they wish to activate on the Hotel Planet platform. By using this endpoint, suppliers can manage their active inventory and ensure that only selected hotels are available for distribution.
  • Hotel Products (/push/products) – This API is designed for suppliers to specify hotel product details, including rates and room types, that they intend to sell or discontinue. By leveraging this API, suppliers can dynamically update the availability of hotel products based on their business needs.
  • ARI (/push/ari) - The ARI API enables suppliers to send daily availability, rates, and inventory (ARI) data to Hotel Planet within a specified date range. This ensures that hotel data remains accurate and up-to-date for seamless bookings and distribution.
